Participation and Consent Terms – Studio Zeedijk

By booking or participating in a broadcast, program, recording, event, or other activity at Studio Zeedijk, you declare that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Participation

Participation in activities of Studio Zeedijk is voluntary and at your own responsibility.

Participants must follow instructions from employees and volunteers of Studio Zeedijk insofar as these relate to safety, order, technical matters, and the proper execution of the activity.

2. Audio, video, and photo recordings

During broadcasts, livestreams, events, performances, interviews, and other activities, audio, video, and photo recordings may be made.

By participating, the participant grants Studio Zeedijk permission to:

  • broadcast these recordings live;

  • rebroadcast them at a later time;

  • publish them via radio, websites, podcasts, streaming services, and social media channels;

  • use them for promotional, journalistic, educational, and archival purposes;

  • store them as part of the Studio Zeedijk archive.

This permission is granted without geographical limitation and for as long as the recordings are relevant for Studio Zeedijk’s activities and archiving purposes.

3. Use of name, voice, and likeness

By participating, the participant grants permission for the use of their name, stage name, voice, portrait, and likeness for:

  • broadcasts;

  • publications;

  • promotional materials;

  • social media;

  • websites;

  • podcasts;

  • other communication outputs of Studio Zeedijk.

Where legally possible, consent for future use may be withdrawn. Such withdrawal does not affect productions that have already been made, published, or broadcast.

4. Compensation

Unless agreed otherwise in writing in advance, participation is unpaid.

The participant waives any claims to compensation for the use of recordings, photos, videos, audio clips, name, voice, or likeness made and used in accordance with these terms.

5. Intellectual property rights

The participant declares that they will not provide or use any material subject to third-party rights without prior permission from the rights holder.

If the participant provides or uses music, visual material, texts, or other protected works, the participant remains responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions and licenses.

The participant indemnifies Studio Zeedijk against claims from third parties arising from infringement of intellectual property rights by the participant.

6. Code of conduct

All participants must behave respectfully toward employees, volunteers, guests, visitors, and property of Studio Zeedijk.

The following are not permitted, among others:

  • discriminatory, racist, threatening, intimidating, or insulting behavior;

  • unwanted behavior or sexual harassment;

  • use of material without permission from the rights holder;

  • disruption of broadcasts, events, or recordings;

  • intentional damage to Studio Zeedijk property.

Studio Zeedijk reserves the right to deny access or immediately terminate participation for those who do not comply with these rules.

7. Equipment and refreshments

To protect technical equipment, it is not permitted to place or consume drinks, liquids, or other refreshments behind the DJ booth, near the mixing desk, or in the immediate vicinity of technical installations, unless explicitly permitted.

Damage demonstrably caused by violation of this rule may be recovered from the responsible party.

8. Liability

Studio Zeedijk is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings of participants or visitors.

Studio Zeedijk is only liable for direct damage resulting directly from intent or deliberate recklessness by Studio Zeedijk.

To the extent permitted by law, any liability of Studio Zeedijk is limited to the amount paid out in the relevant case by any applicable liability insurance.

9. Privacy

Studio Zeedijk processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

Personal data is processed solely for:

  • organizing and executing activities;

  • communication with participants;

  • administrative purposes;

  • compliance with legal obligations;

  • managing broadcasts, events, and productions.

For the processing of audio, video, and photo recordings, the consents described in Articles 2 and 3 also apply.

Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless necessary for carrying out activities, legally required, or with consent.

Participants have rights under the GDPR, including the right of access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and objection.

10. Force majeure

Studio Zeedijk is not liable for failure or partial failure to carry out activities due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including disruptions, technical failures, government measures, illness, emergencies, or other force majeure events.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed exclusively by Dutch law.

Disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

12. Acceptance

By ticking the declaration below and completing a booking or registration, the participant declares that:

  • they have fully read and understood these terms;

  • they agree to these terms;

  • they are authorized to grant this consent;

  • they will inform any co-participants for whom they make a booking about these terms.
